Assisted Living - These communities are for an individual who requires more assistance than an independent living community. An individual will have a private apartment with a living space, kitchenette, and a private bath. The community will offer meals in a common dining room, social programs, scheduled transportation, weekly housekeeping, and exercise programs. Additionally, assisted living communities will provide various levels of care with activities of daily living such as medication reminders, bathing assistance, dressing, and incontinence care. Memory Care Communities - Specialize in caring for a person with a dementia-related diagnosis. This will be a secure setting with a staff who specializes in dementia care. Board and Care - Offers a small, intimate living setting. It will have between four and six beds. The living arrangements may or may not be in a private room. There will be caregivers at the facility who will help the individual with activities of daily living. Meals are provided.
